Ministry of Islamic Affairs has introduced a baby name android application.
The app was officially launched by the Home Minister Azleen Ahmed at the opening ceremony of the ten-story building in Malé City last night to finance the fund used to develop mosques.
The app named “Dhaala” is available for download at the Ministry’s website. Islamic Ministry said that the app would be available at the Google store as well.
After registration users will receive a password on their phone and are able to see the meanings of the names they choose.
Aside from baby names, the app also features prayer times, religious Q&A and information on the Hajj and Umrah Pilgrimage along with mosque development details such as fund source, progress and users can file complaints about mosques.
The application also shows where every mosque in the country is located.
Users can also download the Friday sermon from 21 October 2016 onwards.
