Former Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has sued former Attorney General Dr. Hassan Saeed over a piece of property bought from Hulhumale’.
The trial is scheduled to commence at Civil Court on January 2.
“Sun” has been informed Jameel has claimed ownership of the property in Hulhumale’ which is registered to Hassan Saeed’s name.
Jameel claims the property was paid for by him, and has asked Civil Court to grant him ownership of the property.
The lawsuit was submitted in 2016, as is registered to the Hulhumale’ Division of Civil Court.
When questioned about the lawsuit, Hassan Saeed claimed he had no knowledge of any such issue.
“I am unaware of that,” said Hassan Saeed.
Hassan Saeed and Jameel are close allies, having worked together in politics over a long period of time.
They are co-founders of the law firm “Rajje Chambers”.
