14-year-old boy arrested carrying narcotics

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested carrying narcotics.

The boy was arrested in a sting operation run by police from the North Harbor in Male’ City at 10 pm, last Wednesday night.

Police reported that the boy was stopped by the police who body-checked him, and checked his possessions.

The police had found a substance suspected of being narcotics packed inside a bag the boy was carrying.

The case is under investigation by Drug Enforcement Department.

Meanwhile, four people – including two police officers and one military officer was arrested in a drug operation last Tuesday.
