Young woman drowns in Neykurendhoo

A 23-year-old woman has drowned in H. Dh. Neykurendhoo while out swimming with members of her family.

Police media official said that police received report of the incident on Monday afternoon.

President of Neykurendhoo Council, Mohamed Fizan reported that the incident took place in an area commonly used for swimming.

He said the woman had been dead when taken to the health center.
