Sounds of Maldives VII, previously scheduled to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, will instead be held alongside the Diving, Resort and Travel Show (DRT Show) in Singapore.
Sounds of Maldives, a series of shows organized by High Rise to promote Maldivian tourism industry since 2011 had previously been held in venues such as Kuda Bandos, Male’, Colombo, Bangalore, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai.
Director of High Rise, Ismail Hameed (High Rise Isse) said that the organization had changed the venue from Bangkok to Suntec City, Singapore, upon invitation of one of the leading Singapore tourism event management companies.
Isse said that the seventh edition of Sounds of Maldives will be held alongside DRT Show from February 24 to 26.
DRT holds seven tourism expos per year in places across the world, and each event has more than 150 participants.
Managing Director of High Rise, Ismail Shifraz said that the main purpose of the event Sounds of Maldives was to let talented Maldivian musicians promote the Maldivian tourism industry. And that holding SoM alongside DRT Show would work double in serving the purpose through the extra exposure it would provide.
