Water has been leaked at the junction of Majeedhee Magu and Chaandhanee Magu after an MWSC pipe damaged underground.
An official from the MWSC said that the water is leaking due to damage to a valve of a pipe buried in the ground and they are working to fix it.
When asked if the water service would be stopped in the area, the official said that they may have to cut the water for a short while to fix the problem.
It is unclear when the pipe started leaking. A man who talked to Sun Media said that water was “bubbling up” from the area at 6 a.m.
MWSC is currently working at the area with pumps to resolve the issue. But even with the pumps, the water is leaking in high pressure.
