Adhaalath to bring 147 candidates for the Council Election through MUO

Adhaalath Party has decided to have a total of 147 candidates through the Maldives United Opposition (MUO) in the upcoming Local Council Election.

Speaking at a press conference today, the Deputy Registrar of the party, Hussain Wafeer said that candidates would be competing for 128 Island Councils and 16 Atoll Councils through MUO along with three seats in the Malé City Council.

The Adhaalath Party is competing by giving some positions to MDP. Wafeer said that the application for the preliminaries would be opened very soon.

Adhaalath Party raised concerns over with Elections Commission since they have yet to give the money to the political parties even with the Local Council Election so close.
