President Yameen meets with the Saudi Foreign Secretary

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has met with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Adel Al-Jubeir on his visit to Saudi on the invitation of the Saudi King, bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.

At today’s meeting, the President and the Saudi Foreign Minister spoke extensively on a wide range of bilateral and multilateral issues. President Yameen and the Saudi Foreign Minister reaffirmed solidarity in the fight against the threat of terrorism.

The President and the Saudi Foreign Minister also assured of their mutual support in tackling issues of global climate change.

President Yameen was accompanied at the meeting by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Asim, Minister of Economic Development, Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Dr. Mohamed Shainee, Minister of State, Foreign Relations, at the President’s Office, Mohamed Naseer, Maldivian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdulla Hameed, and the International Spokesperson at the President’s Office, Ibrahim Hussain Shihab.
