Discussion held on training broadcasters with help from Chinese Government

Members of the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (BroadCom) have discussed training and developing local broadcasters with the Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, Wang Fukang.

At the meeting held at the Chinese Embassy today, President of BroadCom, Mohamed Shaheeb said that the broadcasting sector currently needs to create experienced artists.

The proposal prepared by the BroadCom to conduct developmental training programs with the Chinese Embassy with the help from the Chinese Government was shared with the Chinese Ambassador at the meeting today.

Chinese Ambassador Wang Fukang, at the meeting, assured that special priority would be given to facilitate the points mentioned in the proposal and said that he would provide all help he can to develop the broadcasting sector and the media of the Maldives.

Aside the from the President of BroadCom, the Vice President of BroadCom, Mohamed Aslam, Secretary General, Mohamed Nasih along with BroadCom member, Zeena Zahir were in attendance at the meeting with the Chinese Ambassador.
