Man arrested following attempt to provide cigarette to a man in Police custody

A man has been arrested following an attempted to pass a cigarette inside the Courthouse to a man that was in the custody of the Police.

The incident took place around 3 p.m. today at the reception area of the Criminal Court. A witness to the incident told Sun Media that the man entered the reception area by saying he was going for a hearing.

The witness said that the man was sitting a chair and passed a cigarette when the Police brought in the people in their custody. The journalists in the courthouse witnessed the man being taken into custody.

So far there has been no word from the Police in relation to the incident. And so the details on the man that was arrested is unclear.
