Commissioner calls support the officers to work together

Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Areef has called to all Commissioned officers of the Police to support all the officers to work together.

In a meeting with the commissioned officers yesterday, Commissioner of Police, Areef said that some political figures are smearing the Police and the officers must not allow their ranks to lose the close relationships among themselves to be affected and let them win.

Commissioner Areef said that none shall be allowed to do anything that could obstruct the Constitutional obligations and duties of the Police.

And called to the commissioned officers to stop such comments and support the officers to work together in national spirit.

The Commissioner said that to gain the resources to improve the Police structure and work, MVR 12 million worth of safety equipment and other resources have been acquired.

He said that they were acquired as a high priority from the government.

Commissioner Areef advised the officers to work together in the coming Eid-al-Adha to ensure the safety of the public. And so he advised to work to assure safety at sea, events at the islands and other social events.
