Amana Takaful gains MVR 5 million in profit at the end of Q2

Amana Takaful insurance has received MVR 5 million in profit at the end of this year’s second quarter.

Financial Statistics for the second quarter released by Amana Takaful Maldives Public Limited run by Sri Lanka’s Amana Group shows a MVR 1.8 million income after tax.

It is 44 percent lower than the first quarter’s MVR 3.3 million. And so at the end of the second quarter, the company has earned a gross profit of MVr 5.2 million.

While the company has received MVR 34 million as premiums in the past quarter, MVR 13.5 million was generated as income and Amana Takaful spent MVR 7 million in insurance claims. The company spent MVR 3 million in claims in the first quarter of 2016.
