Ahmed Zuhoor – who had been filling the post of Minister of Home Affairs – has been transferred to the position of Minister of President’s Office, and Azleen Ahmed appointed as the country’s new Minister of Home Affairs.
The appointments were officially made in a ceremony held at President’s Office on Monday afternoon.
The new Minister of Home Affairs – Azleen, had been Deputy Minister of Education and Head of Department of Higher Education when he was appointed to the post of Minister of Home Affairs.
Meanwhile, Zuhoor – who was appointed to the post of Minister of President’s Office has filled a number of high posts within the current administration - including Minister of Health, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Commissioner of Customs – in addition to serving as Minster of Home Affairs – when the previous Minister of Home Affairs Umar Naseer resigned from his post.
