Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM) has joined the “Muvazzifunge Scheme” (Employees Scheme) started by the Hajj Corporation to help make easier arrangements to make the Hajj and Umrah Pilgrimages.
At a ceremony held at the STO Head Office today, FSM signed an agreement with the Hajj Corporation to join the scheme.
The agreement was signed by the Director of the Board of the Hajj Corporation, Mohamed Riza and the Managing Director of FSM, Ahmed Wafir.
FSM is the 29th company to join the Employees Scheme of the Hajj Corporation.
Responding to a question from Sun Media after the signing ceremony, Mohamed Riza said that they have decided to sign an agreement with the Councils to visit individual atolls to raise awareness for the scheme.
He said that the goal is to make 10,000 employees join the scheme by the end of the year and that target is within reach.
At the ceremony today, FSM presented a sponsor of MVR 50,000 for the bags of the Pilgrims.
Employees will have a portion of their salary deducted for the Employees Scheme on a monthly basis upon their request to be saved for a Hajj or Umrah Pilgrimage. Family members of the employees can also join this scheme.
