Man arrested from Gemanafushi for sexually assaulting minor

Police arrested a man from G. A. Gemanafushi on Wednesday in relation to a case of sexual assault of a minor.

Police media official confirmed the arrest, but revealed no further details than to say that he is 36 years of age.

“Sun” has been informed that the 14-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted has been taken to G. A. Atoll Hospital for treatment with the assistance of Ministry of Gender and Family.
