Woman arrested from Kulhudhuffushi after prostituting underage daughter

Two people have been arrested from H. Dh. Kulhudhuffushi in a case involving an underage girl forced into prostitution – one of them – her mother.

The other person arrested is a man who paid the woman to sexually assault the underage girl.

Police information officer Ismail Ali informed “Sun” that a 40-year-old woman and 51-year-old man were arrested from Kulhudhuffushi in a case involving sexual assault of a minor while in a position of trust.

“Sun” has it in confidence that the 40-year-old woman in question is the mother of the underage girl; and the man – the client.

Ismail said that the man was arrested and remanded to police custody on July 6, while the woman was arrested and remanded to police custody on Sunday.
