Yameen supporters meet Qasim

At a time where PPM is in turmoil after the party leader, Maumoon took all powers, the Yameen supporters among the senior members of the party has met with the Leader of the Jumhooree Party (JP), Qasim Ibrahim.

Vice President of PPM, Abdul Raheem Abdulla and the Tourism Minsiter, Moosa Rameez went to the residence of the JP Leader, Qasim.

The PPM officials left Qasim’s residence around 11:15 p.m. They did not respond to any questions by the journalists at the time.

They made the visit as PPM’s Parliamentary Group is discussing on presenting a bill at Parliament that could cost the former President of Maldives and current PPM President, Maumoon Abdul Gayoom his position as the head of the party.

The bill would also cost Qasim him position at JP. He is now 65 and Maumoon is 78 years old.

There has been a difference in opinion between President Abdulla Yameen and former President, Maumoon Abdul Gayoom. They both have started separate projects with their loyal followers.
