Coastguard searches for 2 missing at sea

Coastguard have started search and rescue mission to find two individuals who went missing after they jumped out of a boat to catch fish near K. Enboodhoo sandbank.

Coastguard has reported that the two missing individuals are Maldivians.

The two individuals were reported missing at 11:40 am on Tuesday.

A team of Coastguard officers including divers have been dispatched for the search and rescue effort.

Authorities have appealed to people travelling in the area to keep an eye out for the missing individuals. And call Coastguard toll-free number 191 to share any information that may help them in their effort.
