Thai government encourages investment in Maldives

Ministry of Commerce of Thailand has extended invitation to businesses of the country to invest in, and search for business opportunities in Maldives.

Thai Commerce Ministry announced that mixers are to be held between Thai and Maldivian traders in the sidelines of meeting between Thai and Maldivian Economic Ministers scheduled from June 28 – 30.

Thai government encouraged as many Thai traders as possible to participate in the event, which is being organized by Department of International Trade of Thailand.

Adding that there was huge demand in Maldives for rice, frozen seafood, fresh fruit and vegetables, canned fruit juice, snacks, furniture, construction material, motorcycle spare parts and hospitality.

Thailand is already a huge investor of the country, especially in the hospitality industry.
