Two arrested for an attempted attack on Lawyer Wadde

Two people have been arrested in suspicion of an attempted attack on the MP for the Thulusdhoo constituency and lawyer, Mohamed Waheed Ibrahim (Lawyer Wadde).

Information Officer of the Police, Ismail Ali told Sun Media tonight that two people attempted to attack Lawyer Wadde while he was with a group of people near the Chinese Embassy yesterday and a fight broke out.

“In relation to that, two were brought into Police custody.” Information Officer of the Police, Ismail Ali said.

He also said that a man sustained a head injury in the conflicted and was treated at the hospital.

The details on the attempted attack on Lawyer Wadde are yet unclear.
