Gan councilman arrested for domestic violence

A councilmember from L. Gan Council – Aslam Mohamed - has been arrested for allegedly beating up his wife.

President of Gan Council, Ahmed Solah spoke to “Sun” on Thursday and said that Aslam’s arrest was confirmed by police when the Council called police for clarification after rumors of Aslam’s arrest.

Police confirmed that a man was arrested from Gan on Wednesday night for beating his wife and threatening her, but gave no confirmation on the identity of the man arrested.

An audio recording of the couple arguing has gone viral on social media.
