Islamic Ministry declares 6 June as 1 Ramadan

Ministry of Islamic Affairs has made the official announcement declaring tomorrow 6 June to be the 1 Ramadan.

After the meeting held tonight about the moon sighting for the month of Ramadan, a statement issued with the signature of the Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Ziyad said that the moon of Ramadan was seen in parts of the Maldives and other Islamic countries tonight.

The statement said that official word on the matter has been received and declared that 6 June is the 1 Ramadan of 1437.

With the official declaration, MNDF performed a 7-gun salute.
