A temporary parking zone has been opened near the Islamic Center in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan.
Housing Minister, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said that 568 motorcycles and ten cars can be parked at the temporary parking zone established on the land of the old building of Dhiraagu.
Talking to the press, Dr. Muizzu said that the land is part of the Sultan Park development by the government.
But since a large number of people would be gathering at the Islamic Center for prayers during Ramadan, a temporary parking zone has been opened on the land to make parking easier for the public.
Minister Dr. Muizzu said that the Traffic Committee has decided that vehicles cannot be parked for a long time at the temporary parking zone and vehicles that exceed 24 hours would be towed.
Housing Minister said that vehicles can be parked there starting tomorrow.
