Saaid comes first in Jamaican competition, breaks national record

Maldivian athlete Hassan Saaid has broken his own national record in 200-meter race.

He broke the record after coming first in the 200-meter race in the JAAA All-Comers Meet 2016 held last Saturday.

He finished the race in 20.81 seconds.

Saaid completing the 200-meter race at JAAA All-Comers Meet 2016 at Jamaica.

Saaid previously broke the 200-meter national record by finishing the race in 21.07 seconds

during Indian Ocean Games held at Reunion Islands last year.

He achieved the silver medal during the race.

He won silver medal again in the 200-meter race at South Asian Games held in India this year as well.

Saaid – known as the fastest man in Maldives – is currently at Jamaica to train for the Olympic Games at Rio de Jenairo.

He said that he was pleased with his personal achievement.

Saaid also has the national record in 60-meter, 100-meter and 400-meter race.
