Maldivian arrested for trying to smuggle heroin from India

Customs has said that they have arrested a Maldivian who tried to smuggle in heroin from India, Friday night.

The Maldivian man came on a flight from India to Maldives.

A Customs officer informed “Sun” that the man had swallowed six 600-gram belts of heroin.

The Customs officer said that the man had been handed over to police.

Neither Customs, nor police have released the identity of the man yet.
