STELCO Chairman Afeef dismissed

Chairman of the State Electric Company, STELCO, Mohamed Afeef Hussain has been dismissed from his position.

Afeef told Sun Media that he left the position to free himself for personal projects. And he said that he is currently the Director General of the Public Works Service.

President of the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), Mohamed Nizar tweeted today saying that Afeef was dismissed from the Chair of STELCO effective from today.

Effective 18 May 2016, PCB has dismissed Mohamed Afeef Hussain, Ma.Tharijehi Aage from the Chair of STELCO.

Mohamed Afeef Hussain has been the Chairman of STELCO for over two years.
