Police rescue speedboat to Ifuru taking in water

Police rescued people onboard a speedboat travelling from Sh. Comandoo to R. Ifuru on Saturday.

Police said the speedboat cracked in two places when it reached somewhere between R. Vaadhoo and R. Rasgetheem, and started taking in water.

It was reported to them around 11:30 am.

There were five people – including the crew – travelling on the speedboat when the incident took place.

No one suffered any bodily harm.

The speedboat was taken to Rasgetheem with help of police.
