DJA ordered to pay up MVR 60,740 to court official fired

Employment Tribunal has ordered for MVR 60,740 to be paid in compensation to Mohamed Zuhair from G. Dh. Thinadhoo – who was fired from his post as administrator of G. Dh. Thinadhoo Court, unlawfully.

Mohamed Zuhair filed the complaint over the issue against Department of Judicial Administration (DJA).

Employment Tribunal made its decision last Monday, with all members overseeing the case agreeing that Zuhair had not been terminated from his post in accordance with guideline on employees working in judiciary.

DJA has been ordered to pay up the money to Zuhair in bulk within 20 days. And inform Employment Tribunal within 5 days, after the payment is arranged.
