MNU wins inter college and university Volleyball Tournament

Maldives National University (MNU) has won the men’s and women’s divisions of the Inter College and University Volleyball Tournament organized by the Volleyball Association of Maldives.

MNU won the tournament last night after beating Cyrax Collage by 25-20, 26-24, and 25-22 at the Social Center, indoor court. Man of the match was won by MNU’s Jazlaan Mohamed.

After the final match, the best six players of the tournament were selected. They were Ahmed Maaz, Jazlaan Mohamed, Mohamed Fisal and Nasheed Abdulla from MNU and Hassan Agleen and Adam Haleem from Cyrax College.

The female division was won by the MNU 3-1 sets by beating Villa College after a challenging game. MNU won the first set of the match by 25-22 and lost the second set to Villa College. MNU won the final set in 25-19.

The top players in the women’s division were won by MNU’s Aminath Nasma, Fathmath Saadhaa, Aminath Hushma and Fazla Abubakr along with Fathmath Zeeniya and Aishath Imthinaan of Villa College.

While best libero player was won by MNU’s Silma Zahir and the best coach was won by MNU’s Sofwan Ahmed.
