Man charged with premeditated murder of Holhudhoo Ismailbe

A man has been charged with premeditated murder in death of Ismail Abdul Rahman (Ismailbe), 73, - from Veerozeebank in N. Holhudhoo.

Ismailbe was stabbed on November 15, 2015 at around 7:40, and passed away two days later – on November 18, 2015 while being treated at R. Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital.

An official from Prosecutor General’s Office told “Sun” identified the man charged in the murder as Haroon Abdul Latheef from Azaadh in N. Holhudhoo – who was 21 years old at the time of the murder.

Police wrapped up the investigation into the case and sent it to PG Office on March 3.

It was sent to court on April 10.
