21-year-old drowns in Addu

A young man who went swimming in Addu City, Hankede Bridge area drowned on Saturday.

He has been identified as Ismail Samih Saeed, 21, from S. Feydhoo – Alhivilaage.

Police confirmed that the 21-year-old died at around 2:30 pm.

Police said that officers and civilians had tried to save the young man’s life, but that he had died before he was taken to hospital.
