Foreigner found dead in an apartment in Male

A foreigner has been discovered dead in 3rd floor of Dhilkashange, situated in Galolhu district of Male’ City.

Police said on Wednesday that the foreigner has been identified as Sri Lankan citizen Patumasiri Jayasinha, 40.

According to police, the dead body was reported to them at 8:45, Wednesday morning.

Police have taken the body to ADK Hospital and have taken needed samples to investigate the death.

According to police, ADK doctors have informed them that the man had been dead when taken to the hospital.

Investigation into the case so far points to it being a natural death, said police.

The case is being investigated by Serious and Organized Crime Department of Maldives Police Service.
