Dr. Muizzu: Sewage leak was due to intentionally breaking a pipe

Housing Minister, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has said that the sewage leak to Rasfannu beach was because a group of people intentionally destroyed a sewage pipe in the area.

At a press conference held at the Housing Ministry, Dr. Muizzu said that it was done by “oppositions” to irritate the government.

The Housing Minister said that while the Rasfannu Artificial Beach is for the benefit of the public and a number of people using it, it is not believable that people who would do such a thing would no exist in a responsible community.

Since the Health Ministry has cleared swimming at the beach after resolving the problem and cleaning, the beach was reopened today.

Dr. Muizzu said that some people paid and sent two young men to “cut up” the weaved seats in the area but the Police stopped interfered and it was not achieved.

Minister Dr. Muizzu said that these things are done by the opposition to create hate for the government among the people.
