Over 500 student loan opportunities for higher studies opened

Department of Higher Education has opened opportunity for 525 opportunities for loans to study both abroad and in the country.

DHE made an announcement on Wednesday that the opportunity to apply for the student loans would be open until April 21.

Some courses available for study in Maldives with loan:

• Diploma in Nursing – 30 opportunities

• Diploma in Teaching – 30 opportunities

• Diploma in ACCA – 10 opportunities

• Bachelors in Teaching – 50 opportunities

• Bachelors in Nursing – 30 opportunities

Courses available for study abroad with loan:

• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering – 10 opportunities

• Bachelors in MMBS – 20 opportunities

• Bachelors in Dentistry – 10 opportunities

DHE said that only students who wished to study a course higher than their current level of education would be applicable for the loan.

Also, priority would be given to students who had not received financial support for higher studies in the past. And that priority would be given to students in accordance with the point system published for the loan scheme.

Application form as well as loan scheme policy will be available to interested students

Tuesday to April 21, from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm from DHE.
