Man arrested in Kurendhoo for spousal abuse

A man has been arrested in Lh. Kurendhoo for assaulting his wife.

Police Media Official said that they arrested a 59-year-old man from the island and said that his 40-year-old wife is being treated at the Kurendhoo Health Center.

Sources say that the woman is not in serious condition.

The number of domestic abuse cases reported has been on the rise in the recent times.
