Former MP for Dhiggaru constituency, Ahmed Nazim has made another request to extend his stay abroad for medical treatment.
An official from Corrections told Sun Media that this was the third extension requested by the former MP who has been convicted of corruption and serving 25 years in prison.
However the official did not day when the the extension was request and for how long.
Aside from MP Nazim, the former Defense Minister Colonel-retired Mohamed Nazim, convicted to import and possession of a firearm and serving 11 years, is also currently abroad for medical treatment in Singapore.
Corrections approved Colonel Nazim's medical leave on 18 March for 21 days.
