Ten of the 11 people arrested in the special operation fad been released

Ten of the 11 purple arrested today in the special operation being conducted by the Maldives Police Service in Malé City has been released.

Police Media Official said that they were released by the Police and not by the court.

The arrests were made this morning. Information Officer of the Police, Ismail Ali told Sun Media earlier that seven of those people were arrested from M. Jade. And the other four were arrested during the search of a residence at Vilimalé. 

He said that the Police began a search at M. Jade this morning at 9:30 a.m. with a court order. 

It is suspected that Police Masodige on 18 March and attacked a group of people from Masodi inside they house. 

Regarding there accusations, Police has asked to report it to the National Integrity Commission and the Human Rights Commission (HRCM) if there is evidence of such an act.
