Talks ended today as well to give opportunity to MDP and Adhaalath

After MDP and Adhaalath Party refused to take part in the government led all-party talks that began tonight, today’s discussions have ended early today to give another opportunity to MDP and Adhaalath.

Fisheries Minister, Dr. Mohamed Shainee representing the government at the talks, said that the government would seek international help to bring MDP and Adhaalath party to the talks.

Minister Shainee said that if there are any differences in opinions among the political parties, it would be resolved through discussions.

The Jumhooree Party representative at the talks, the Leader of the Party and MP for Maamigili constituency, Qasim Ibrahim said that he hopes the two parties would join the discussions at some point along the way. And he said that he hopes that MDP and Adhaalath would join and work to resolve problems.

“What I know is that talking would resolve things. And the best way to do things is that too.” Qasim said.

Governing party PPM, MDA, JP and DRP are taking part in the all-party discussion that began last night.
