A man has been convicted of cannabis trafficking and sentence to life in prison with a fine of MVR 100,000 to paid in full within a month to the Criminal Court.
The verdict from the Court today against Hussain Shiyaz, Malé City, said that witness testimonies prove that during the a search conducted by the Police on 17 July 2014 on the sixth floor of H. Feydhooge, Police found drugs in a small storage on the balcony of his apartment and between the Air-conditioning unit and the wall on the balcony.
And said that the fingerprint of Shiyaz was found on the wall where the drugs were smeared.
