BML branch opens in Maafushi

A branch of the national bank, Bank of Maldives (BML) has been opened in K. Maafushi.

The 28th branch of the bank was opened by the Economic Minister, Mohamed Saeed.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the CEO of the BML, Andrew Healy said that the deposit and withdrawals at the bank can be made 24 hours a day.

He said that this was the first of seven new branches to be opened in the atolls this year.

BML is currently running an investment plan of MVR 300 million to improve the banking system in the Maldives.

With a banking network of 28 branches, 76 ATMs, 3100 POSM agents, 177m cash agents, ten self-service banking centers and five boat units, BML is the biggest bank in the country with more investments than any other bank in the country.
