Two AC ferries to begin service next week

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) have said that two of their air-conditioned ferries would join the Hulhumaalé-Malé Ferry Service next week.

Last month, MTCC said that they would begin at the end of last month.

But the Media Official of MTCC told Sun Media today that the AC ferry services would be starting next week.

The two newly introduced AC ferries have capacity of 150 people.

MTCC also introduced a double-deck ferry last year.

The company said that they are doing numerous works to improve the ferry service.
