Assistant Secretary-General of United Nations for Political Affairs, Miroslav Jenca is to visit Maldives.
An official from Foreign Ministry spoke to “Sun” on Thursday and said that Jenca would arrive in Maldives on Saturday.
Jenca is visiting Maldives upon invitation extended by Maldivian government.
He will be meeting with high-ranking government officials and discussing the current political situation in the country.
Meanwhile, a team from All-Party British-Maldives Parliamentary Group (APPG) is also visiting the country, and have met with government officials as well as officials from opposition political parties.
