Tourist snorkeling in Addu drowns

A Chinese male tourist snorkeling outside Canareef Resort Maldives in Addu has drowned.

The body of the man who died in the incident this evening has now been taken to Hulhumeedhoo Health Center in Addu City.

An official from the Health Center told Sun Media that the tourist was dead on arrival when he was taken to the Health Center close to sun down.

The official said that they are working to send the body to Malé City around midnight tonight.

Sources say that the tourist came to the Maldives on holiday with his family. Hulhumeedhoo Health Center says that according to sources, the man was found drowned by his child.
