Maldives receives 29 World Travel Awards nominations

Maldives has received 29 nominations in the prestigious World Travel Awards.

Maldivian resorts, travel agencies, and national airline has received nominations in 29 categories, which include leading Indian Ocean beach destination, leading cruise destination, favorite Indian Ocean destination, leading dive destination and most popular Indian Ocean honeymoon destination.

In addition to this, Maldives Tourism Board has been nominated as leading Indian Ocean tourist board, while national airline Maldivian has received nominations from three categories.

Maldivian resorts have received nominations as best resort in Indian Ocean, leading dive resort, leading beach resort, leading family resort and leading green resort.

World Travel Awards has been handed out since 1993, with 160 countries nominated from different categories this year.
