20-year-old drug trafficker arrested

A 20-year-old man – who the police suspect of being involved in wide-scale distribution of narcotics – has been arrested with a large quantities of narcotics in is possession.

Police have said that the man was arrested last Tuesday after police followed-up on a tip they received.

Police issued a statement on Wednesday saying that a large rubber packet and 25 camera roll containers stuffed with what is believed to be narcotics was discovered from a bag he was holding when the police stopped and searched him.

Five camera roll containers and two rubber packets containing what police suspect are narcotics was discovered when police searched the man’s car.

Court has granted five days for his remand, during which time he will be kept in a facility arranged by Home Ministry.

Police Drug Enforcement Department is investigating the case.
