Fuvahmulah loses power due to a “technical problem”

Gn. Fuvahmulah has lost all electrical power due to a technical problem.

Vice President of the Fuvahmulah Island Council, Hussain Shaafee Ibrahim told Sun Media tonight that it has been an hour since the island lost power. He said that the cause of the blackout is yet unclear.

Sources say that that Gn. Fuvahmulah, which has it’s electricity provided by FENAKA Corporation, lost it’s power due to a circuit breaker.

FENAKA Corp. tweeted tonight saying that parts of Fuvahmulah are experiencing an electrical blackout due to a technical problem.

They said that they are working on resolving the problem.
