Another 1.4 megawatt generator sent to Thinadhoo

Another 1.4 megawatt generator has been sent to G. Dh. Thinadhoo to provide the island with electricity after the island’s powerhouse burnt down.

A senior official from Thinadhoo branch of Fenaka Corporation informed “Sun” that the generator had been successfully transported to Thinadhoo on Monday. And that the additional generator would ease the load on the two 1 megawatt generators currently being used to power the island.

“The issue is. The two generators alone cannot take it. It will need rest. Or will overload,” said the official.

The two 1 megawatt generators were sent to Thinadhoo on Friday and made operational on Saturday. Providing relief to the 10,400 people of Thinadhoo who had been living without electricity since Monday night.
