10 year-old dies after being crushed under a loader

10 year-old who was crushed under a loader in G. Dh. Faresmaathoda on Monday has passed away.

G. Dh. Thinadhoo Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital said that the boy – Aiman – had been dead when he was transported to the hospital.

Aiman was transported to Thinadhoo after he was first treated at Faresmaathoda Health Center.

Faresmaathoda Health Center Senor Administrator Shammoon Mohamed spoke to “Sun” earlier, before the child died said that the child’s face was completely crushed. And stressed that he was in a very critical state, a statement which Faresmaadhoda Island Council Vice

President Ahmed Zahir echoed when he talked to “Sun”.

Zahir said that people were saying the child had been on the bucket of the loader when the driver started the vehicle. And that the driver had been unaware of the fact.

The man who was driving the loader has been taken under arrest.
