Post-mortem conducted on Ziyada

A post-mortem examination has been conducted on Ziyada Naeem, who died recently of suspected sexual abuse.

Police say the examination was done yesterday at a hospital in India and efforts are ongoing to return the body to the Maldives.

Ziyada died while receiving treatment in intensive care at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Malé. Her husband, Ibrahim Shah, 40, has been arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse.
