People arrested in Vilufushi for sorcery has been released

The three people who were arrested in Thaa atoll Vilufushi following multiple complaints and reports of sorcery at houses and on boats has been released.

Information Officer of the Police, Ismail Ali told Sun Media today that they were released by the Veymandoo Magistrate Court when they were taken to extend their remand.

Police arrested local men of the ages 48, 56 and 58.

Sources say that among the three men is a member of the Vilufushi Island Council. The Council confirmed the arrest to Sun Media.
